Initial list of Reading Materials and Resources

A short list of books, websites, etc... that I'm currently drawing information from:

Seizing the Light: A History of Photography by Robert Hirsch

Photography (Seventh Edition) by Barbara London, John Upton
- This was an absolutely essential textbook when I studied photography previously.

The Master Printer’s Workbook: A Professional Guide to b/w Darkroom Techniques by Steve MacLeod

Jon Grepstad’s website: http://home.online.no/~gjon/
- Large format camera building resource. Site has plans for building a 4x5 large format view camera on monorail. Also has many links to other large format building communities and message boards. Links and photos to other people who have built cameras based on Jon’s design are available as well.

Caffenol Blog: http://caffenol.blogspot.com/
- A man from Germany who goes by the name of Reinhold has created a blog chronicling his adventures with a film developer dubbed Caffenol. Various “recipes” for Caffenol are given as well as tips for using the developer in your own home.

There will certainly be more to come. I guess this can also act as an early start on an annotated bibliography of sorts.
